So my questions are these: is the No 55 a unique run of No 25 grade watches in the 1883 model? Or is this simply an error in data entry? Not looking to point finger you understand, just clarify if this is what it appears to be, a one time run of No 55 watches. A search of the database return NO OTHER run of No 55 at all, let alone No 55 WWCo Gr. This movement however is shown as Grade No 25 and name: "No 55 WWCo Gr". The second is: serial #3396882 also a model 1883 18 size and 15 jewel but in the hunter case configuration and stem wind nickel movement with the exact same damaskeening pattern. This movement is shown as Grade No 25 and name: "No 25 WWCo Gr". The first is: serial #3639711 a model 1883 18 size 15 jewel open face and stem wind nickel movement that has what I was told is called a "cake frosted" damaskeening pattern. I have purchased two different Waltham 18 size movements and have difficulty with the grade and/or name of these watches as they are listed here in the NAWCC database lookup. As always I am trying to learn all I can about these great pocket watches. Thank you all for the priceless information you have shared and advice you have given.
